This article describes the changes in strategies in sharing content with clients and teams
In January 23´ we've released new feature, which allows sharing content like Dossiers or Labelwise with the team of contributors. This functionality now overlaps with channels which were originally used to share content with other users. So when should we use channels and when should we use teams?
Use channels to categorize content into projects or share with clients
Channels will be now only used to categorize dossiers and labels into folders. You can create channels for each project or client. There will be also channels within the client's organization where you can give clients access to your dossiers or labels.
Use teams to share with collaborators
When you expect other users to work on your dossiers or labels, please share with them directly or share with their teams.
In the next couple of weeks, the functionality where you can give editor permission to users within the channels will be deprecated in favor of teams. This should simplify the decision of when to use teams or channels.
