What does the status ‘’Unknown’’ or ‘’Inconclusive’’ in the report mean?

You learn what the status ''Unknown'' denotes in the Nutriwise report.

If no regulatory document is available for the ingredient (e.g. positive or negative list from the Authorities) the status for that particular ingredient is UNKNOWN or INCONCLUSIVE, as we lack the information for asserting the regulatory status.  The status of APPROVED or COMPLIANT is only granted when an existing regulation confirms it.

Therefore, the Authorization status is determined solely by regulatory documents issued by the relevant Authority.
