How to use the Food Regulatory Analytics?

You learn how the food regulatory analytics widget can be used.

The main goal of the Food Regulatory Analytics (FRA) widget is to allow easy comparison of the regulatory status of each Regulatory Class present in the system across multiple markets.

To do so, the user interface has two dropdowns that allow to select which Regulatory Area/Class you are interested in, and which markets:

FRGs for markets with the icon next to their name are not yet available. In some cases there may be partial data available, but you should not rely on them.

Clicking on the checkbox next to each Regulatory Area/Class and Market of interest in the boxes and clicking the button "Apply" will present the corresponding matrix:

This page shows at a glance which are the markets for which a specific Regulatory Class is regulated (either locally or by inheriting international regulations like European Union regulations).

The user interface provides different possible interactions and data visualizations:

  1. clicking on the names of the markets (blue box) will bring to the FRG of the corresponding market,
  2. all the Regulatory Classes (red boxes) lead to a page that shows the details of the regulations governing each the specific aspect in the selected markets,
  3. each of the statuses (red or green icons) will show the detail of the specific Regulatory Class for the specific Market.

When the desired combination is set, it is possible to click on the button "Notify Me About changes" present in the top-right corner to receive updates any time one of the Regulatory Class is updated in one of the selected markets (i.e. if a new regulation is released, or an amendment is added, etc.).
