How do you ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information provided?

Accuracy and reliability of data have several facets that need to be addressed at multiple steps during the data collection process depending on the type of data that are addressed.

In SGS DIGICOMPLY the most general principle we apply to ensure data accuracy is that the data should be collected as close as possible to the original source and the source should be provided whenever possible. This translates into collecting regulations from official government websites or even the official journal/gazette of the country, rather than third parties websites. Unfortunately this is not always possible, so you will find some cases in which regulations are sourced from either industry or consumer associations or other type of sources and you will find cases in which we cannot provide you with the direct link to the original document. The latter may happen for many reasons, including limitations imposed by the websites we collect the content from, in such cases, please contact us and we will provide you with the directions needed.

In order to provide the highest level of reliability, we strive to ensure the content is up to date and reflects the most recent changes. This is achieved in two ways: first our automated monitoring system that is constantly checking more than a thousand websites for changes and updates, and second our worldwide network of experts that use their knowledge and direct contact with local authorities to ensure the database is always up to date.
Of course the two mechanisms have their pros and cons, automated monitoring ensure a rapid response, but being software may experience problems and downtime, for that reason we have an alert system that informs us whenever any potential issue arises. As per our experts, the response is less rapid than automated monitoring, but with their experience can provide a greater flexiblity.
