      The main ingredient name given to the ingredient is the SCIENTIFIC NAME or OFFICIAL NAME as stated in the REGULATIONS.

      While the common names and other names are placed under the synonym of the main name.

      The Scientific/ official (regulation) name of the botanicalt always remains the main reference point in the ingredient ontology.

      Botanical preparations can include forms such as:

      • Extract - tinctures ( tinctures are subsets of extracts)
      • Powder 
      • Concentrate
      • essential oils
      • Juice 
      • Exudates
